Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data LinkShrink collects and how it's used.

Account data

When you sign up, we store your email address and authentication provider (Discord, Google, or email/password) via Supabase. If you sign in with Discord or Google, we receive your avatar and display name from that provider.

Link data

Any short links you create — including the destination URL, custom code, and optional Discord webhook — are stored and associated with your account.

Click tracking

When someone visits one of your short links, we log: IP address, approximate location (country/city, derived from IP), device type, operating system, and timestamp. This data is visible only to you, the link's creator.

How we use this data

To operate the link redirect and dashboard functionality
To send optional Discord webhook notifications and email alerts you've enabled
To prevent abuse (rate limiting, bot filtering, IP blocking)

Data sharing

We don't sell or share your data with third parties, aside from the services required to operate LinkShrink: Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and IP geolocation providers (ip-api.com, freeipapi.com, ipapi.co) used solely to resolve visitor location for click logs.

Data retention

Your links and click history are retained until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a link also deletes its associated click records.

Your rights

You can delete any link (and its click data) at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account entirely, contact us using the details below.
